How to take a photo for an ID card correctly?

To ensure your fake ID looks as realistic as possible, it’s important to follow these photo guidelines:

  • Use a plain light-colored background with no patterns or textures.
  • Make sure there are no shadows on your face or behind you.
  • Office lighting is ideal, like in a DMV.
  • Stand about 1.5 feet in front of the background to avoid shadows.
  • The person taking the photo should stand 5 feet in front of you.
  • Look straight into the camera with a normal expression, mouth closed and not smiling.
  • Eyes should be fully visible with hair away from your face and eyes as much as possible.
  • Remove glasses if possible or ensure there’s no glare or reflections on the lenses.
  • No sunglasses or tinted glasses.
  • No headwear unless for religious or medical reasons.
  • Do not crop your photo; we’ll do it for you.
